Nabäti Eatery is a vegetarian kitchen on the Keizerstraat in Rotterdam Centrum, and every dish on our menu can be made vegan. Most of it already is. Lunch here takes as long as you want it to, because there is a fast end of the menu and a slower one, and you pick.
We cook Jordanian and Levantine food. That style of cooking is plant-based at its root, built on chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, aubergine and herbs, which is why so much of the menu is already vegan without anyone changing anything. Where a dish does contain dairy, the menu says so and names the swap.
The traditional falafel sandwich is the fastest thing we make and the one most people come back for. The makali sandwich is fried aubergine, cauliflower and courgette. The za’atar sandwich is the lightest of the three. All three are vegan as served.
Hummus, spicy hummus, msabbaha, baba ghanouj, muhammara or foul mdammas, each with warm pita. One of those with a salad is a proper lunch and takes minutes.
Our bowls are built on chickpeas, hummus and crisp bread. Order one if you have half an hour rather than ten minutes. Several come with a yoghurt tahini dressing, and each of those is vegan on request with the non-dairy dressing.
We are in the middle of the Keizerstraat, about five minutes on foot from Rotterdam Blaak and a short walk from the Markthal. If you work in the centre, that is close enough to walk here and back inside a lunch break.
Everything at the fast end of the menu travels well. Order at the counter and take it with you, or order through Uber Eats or Thuisbezorgd if you would rather it came to you.
If you are feeding a team, the sharing platters and boxes are built for exactly that, and they come out of the same kitchen with the same marks. A vegan table here is not a special request, it is the ordinary case.
Every dish on the menu page carries its allergen line, taken from our own kitchen’s allergen sheet, alongside its vegan mark. Where the sheet does not cover something, the page says to ask our staff, and our staff will know.
