Here is the honest answer. Nabäti Eatery is a vegetarian kitchen on the Keizerstraat in Rotterdam Centrum, and every single dish on our menu can be made vegan. Most of what we serve is already vegan exactly as it comes to the table. For the few dishes that are not, the change is one ingredient, and we make it without any fuss.
If you are the person in the group who always has to check first, this is a place where you do not have to.
We cook Jordanian and Levantine food: chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, aubergine, pomegranate, za’atar, herbs, warm bread. That style of cooking is plant-based at its root, which is why so much of the menu is vegan without anyone having to adapt it.
Where a dish does contain dairy, the menu says so and names the swap. Our menu marks every dish two ways. A filled leaf means vegan as served. An outlined leaf means vegan on request, with the change written next to it. Nothing is left for you to guess at, and nothing is labelled vegan unless it is.
A starting point rather than the full list. The menu carries the marks dish by dish.
Our falafel is fried to order and served with lemon tahini. Hummus, spicy hummus, msabbaha, baba ghanouj, muhammara and foul mdammas all come vegan as served, each with warm pita.
The traditional falafel sandwich, the makali sandwich of fried aubergine, cauliflower and courgette, and the za’atar sandwich are vegan as served. So are the falafel rolls, the spinach rolls, fattoush, the batata side of fried potatoes with garlic sauce, the mixed pickles, the tomato and tahini salad, the farmers salad and the plate of fresh vegetables.
Our fatteh bowls and the larger platters are built on chickpeas, hummus and crisp bread. Several use a yoghurt tahini dressing, and every one of those is vegan on request with the non-dairy dressing. Both of our desserts are vegan.

We sit in the middle of the Keizerstraat, about five minutes on foot from Rotterdam Blaak, which makes us a straightforward stop for lunch. Half sandwiches, small hummus plates and the falafel bowls are the quick end of the menu. Nothing here takes an hour.
Every dish on the menu page carries its allergen line, taken from our own kitchen’s allergen sheet. Where the sheet does not cover something, the page says to ask our staff, and our staff will actually know. The full allergen sheet is downloadable from the menu page.
Come and sit down on the Keizerstraat, order through Uber Eats or Thuisbezorgd, or ask us about catering an office lunch or an event. Catering runs on the same kitchen and the same marks, so a vegan table is not a special request.
